Groove Announces Latest Updates, Featuring Salesforce Integration

Groove has been busy in November with a host of improvements and new features to better support customers. These include updates to iOS and Android apps, widget improvements, live chat, CRM enhancements, and integration updates for Salesforce, Jira Cloud, and Jira Server.

While most teams slow down during December, Groove’s team is hard at work on some of the biggest projects since the Groove relaunch earlier this year.

New Groove Widget: A Fresh Look and Feel

One of the most notable updates is the new Groove Widget. It’s being rebuilt from the ground up and will include a fresh look and feel, complete customizability, targeted article display, and custom question creation on the contact form. The new widget will also be the starting point for live chat, which will be a one-click install when released.

Live Chat: One of the Most Requested Features

Groove’s live chat feature is also in progress. It will be integrated with all existing products and will be available on all current Groove plans.

Native iOS and Android Applications: Coming Soon

The Groove team is committed to providing a great mobile experience and is wrapping up the final specs for its native mobile apps. The first versions are expected to be released in early 2020.

    Groove API: Improvements and Extensions

Groove is improving and extending its Inbox API, along with its Knowledge Base API. The improvements will include better documentation and a new interface for quick and easy access to API methods, examples, and expected responses.

    Ticket Export: Now Available

Users can now easily export tickets in JSON format from the settings screen for custom reporting or internal analysis. A comprehensive Knowledge Base article is available for more information.

    CRM: A Major Project

Groove is extending its CRM features to provide more comprehensive contact management capabilities. Users will be able to view and edit all contacts, assign them to companies, and eventually do specific reporting on them.

These CRM enhancements are a direct result of user requests and will offer powerful new capabilities for managing customer interactions.

    Salesforce Integration: Now Live

Groove has launched its highly anticipated Salesforce integration. This integration allows users to see leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, and tasks directly within Groove. All information is fully customizable, including any custom fields.

    Jira Cloud Integration: Beta Launch

The beta version of Groove’s Jira Cloud integration is now available. This integration allows users to reopen tickets from within Groove, access all relevant information from the sidebar, and create new leads without leaving Groove. The integration is designed to streamline workflow and improve productivity.

    Jira Server Integration: Coming Soon

Groove is also working on a Jira Server integration, which will offer the same functionality as the Jira Cloud integration for users who use the self-hosted Jira Server version.
