Reform RX, a tech startup based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is redefining the pilates fitness experience with its personalized, digitally connected reformers. The company recently secured $5.1M in funding, the largest initial investment for a Northern Ireland company under Clarendon, to support its global expansion and further development of its patented technology.
Founded by functional movement specialist Yvette McGaffin and her husband Neal McGaffin, Reform RX began after their success running boutique pilates studios across the UK. They partnered with Grove Design to create a next-generation pilates reformer that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology and sleek design. The RX reformer generated $1M in revenue within two weeks of launch, selling out the initial product line in the first quarter of 2023.
Yvette McGaffin, CEO and co-founder of Reform RX, emphasizes the company's mission to deepen the connection between physical fitness and mental clarity. She believes that pilates offers a powerful path to achieving both.
Reform RX has attracted industry veterans who are helping to guide the company's evolution. Sam Bowen, formerly of Peloton, and Frank van de Ven, previously with Life Fitness, are lending their expertise to the company's growth.
Reform RX operates out of Belfast, where they produce all content for their RX platform, and also runs a boutique studio in Newport Beach, CA. Their reformer is available in 13 countries and continues to expand worldwide.
